House Concert FAQ
What is a House Concert?
A house concert is a fun and intimate musical performance done in the home or back yard of a host. It is an opportunity for us to spend real time together and provide a unique and memorable experience for your community.
Is my house big enough to host one?
Probably! We’ll need about 5x10 feet of space to set up. If you have a space that big with room for all the people you would like to come to sit in front of it - it can work! It can also take place in your backyard, in your barn or on your dock. We’re flexible!
Who comes to a house concert?
A house concert can be held for just you and your friends or it can be open to other local TWN fans. It’s all up to you. You tell us how many folks you want to accommodate and what your wishes are, and we go from there. If you want to set up an evite or Facebook event - we can help with that too!
Do I have to provide any equipment?
We have all the necessary musical equipment. If you don't have very many chairs you may suggest people bring blankets or camp chairs.
How long does the music last?
Again this is at your discretion. Somewhere between an hour and three hours is typical. It can be one long set or few sets with breaks in between for people to hang out and chat. The party can go for a long time after or end soon after the music.
Does it cost anything?
Yes. The exact cost depends on where you live and what you're looking for. If you'd like a quote, fill out the form below and we'll get back with you.
We do ask a 20% deposit at the time of booking to hold your date, and the remainder can be paid the night of the event.
Some folks opt to cover the entire cost themselves and make it free for their guests.
Some folks team up with a few neighbors and split the cost.
Some ask their guests to pay a suggested donation at the door.
Or any combination of the above.
How is the money collected?
If you opt to do a suggested donation, we’ll have a can for cash set out at the door. We’ll also have a virtual payment option available for your guests.
If you’d prefer to make this event totally free for your guests, you can pay the remainder by check, cash or PayPal on the day of the event. We will provide an invoice your records.
